Tire Group International LLC has been a successful tire exporter since 1992. On January 2007 it was poised to become a Domestic tire distributor in South Florida. The key to building a successful division was to bring in team members that would understand the vision and help achieve the goals set forth. Having Sam Potter already in place we decided to add Jiovanni Montenegro, Jose Castillo as territory managers along with Fatima Portillo to manage the customer service team and Tatiana Valverde as our lead worker to help us grow the miami dade area. Since then, core business partners were added to enhance our tire brand portfolio to be able to build retailer relationships throughout the South Florida area with strong brand recognition and a delivery service to match the needs of the area. We offered twice a day delivery Monday thru Friday later adding Saturday service as the business continued to increase.
The model was to start building a tire dealer network in Miami-Dade county and grow the business where the next logical step was being able to service Broward county. We added Antonio Salvetti to the team to work that area and used the same concept to grow that market. Over the years, as business continued to grow, we added additional brands to service the needs of our dealer network and continue to build on our success. We then entered into Palm Beach county, hired Cesar Alandi to handle that area and offered the same service we had been offering in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
TGI has become one of the biggest tire distributors for all of the South Florida tire retailers, auto repair facilities, car dealerships and all automotive related businesses.
A few years later we decided it was time to expand our services further north. The Tampa/St.Petersburg/Clearwater area was our targeted area where we hired Sean Denny. Sean was the perfect man for the job, as the Territory Manager he helped us build a dealer network offering all our new customers a diverse tire brand portfolio that would accommodate all the customers needs. We developed a delivery system that would supply clients from our Miami warehouse three days a week, that later became five days a week with multiple trucks being sent on daily routes.
We quickly knew our second growth area would be the Orlando/Kissimmee area and a year and a half later we added Jose Maisonet to the Central Florida team as our Territory Manager. Using the same model we built for Tampa, we offered the same service of three days a week that rapidly increased to five building after building a strong customer base in these areas as well.
Business was as successful as ever thanks to a loyal dealer network backed by Sean and Jose. We decided opening a distribution center was the next big step to make sure we continued to offer the best service to our existing AND future customers.
And yes ...on May 4th 2020 our Tampa distribution center opened for business and we started servicing our customer base into both markets with the same twice a day delivery service including Saturdays that we also offer in South Florida.
We will continue to offer memorable service and a diverse inventory of tire brands as we extend in to other markets and grow our dealer network.
As we enter the third month of supplying our family in the central and northern Florida region, we at TGI will continue to work diligently to offer them and all our loyal customers the best service. We want to remain your #1 tire supplier for many years to come!
