John Dunlop patented the first pneumatic tire.
1895
Edouard and Andre Michelin invented the first demountable tire for the automobile.
1906
Harvey Firestone developed a straight sided tire and won a large order from Henry Ford.
1940
Synthetic fibers and rubber were developed for tire application.
1948
Michelin introduced radial tires and steel reinforcements.
1960
Tubeless tires were introduced for commercial vehicles for use in one-piece rims.
1992
TGI is founded.
TGI is awarded MRF tire line
1995
Astro Tyres and Cosmo Tires house brands are launched.
1996
Luna house brand is launched.
2006
TGI is awarded Cooper tire line.
2007
Industar house brand is launched.
TGI relocated to current, state of the art, distribution facility.
TGI awarded Mickey Thompson line.
